Shanti has been with me for 6 weeks now! And he is doing so well and growing up way too fast! His favorite activities are digging wherever he can, greeting everyone he meets, wagging his tail, and chewing on everything ... the cats still fascinate him and they let him know when he gets too close.
Following are a lot of photos of various activities since my last post.
We are visiting the neighbor quite frequently where he gets treats and lots of petting and he wants to play with the dogs but they aren't interested!
A second visit to the Farmer's Market in Ladysmith where he got a lot of attention! Then we stopped at Maple Hill (a farm near Ladysmith) where he visited more dogs and observed the pigs from a distance.
We had a chance to visit with another dog and friends at a lake where he had a blast jumping in the lake until he discovered the mud at the shoreline - heavenly!!
We did several hikes close by and a little further away: Black Lake near Winter, Juniper Rock in the Clam Lake area and a second visit to Lake Superior. He wasn't that interested in the lake but the sand beach - so much fun to dig and eat sand!! Then we continued to Lost Creek Falls near Cornucopia - a 3 mile hike round trip. The longest hike so far and he met a lot of people on the trail. Including a distant relative of his - a 2 year old english golden retriever that lives in Bayfield and came from the same breeder. She was a beauty!
The garden activities continue - "helping" with the harvest and searching for some forgotten potatoes. Chewing on cabbage and anything rotten he can find!
Enjoy the adventures of Shanti!
Until next time, Susanne
