Tango and her kittens - part 9

So much has happened since the last blog post. The past week has been an emotional roller coaster. I couldn't find a home for any of the kittens so I took Tango (the mama cat) and Surya to the shelter. I felt heartbroken to tear the family apart but thought if 2 and 2 stay together it would be easier. I was hoping somebody would adopt them together here before Christmas. Yesterday I found the most perfect home for Surya - a family with kids and another kitten. They were so excited to adopt him and he is already doing very well. There was no way I could leave Tango in the shelter by herself - so she is back home with Buddha and Indigo - who really missed her. They are 12 weeks old today and mama cat is still nursing them. The last 2 pictures are from this morning. There is no doubt in my mind that they missed each other! And I am so relieved!!

Tango and her kittens - and the shoe box

I bought a pair of winter boots and left the empty box on the floor. It has become the favorite toy of the whole cat family!! Soon it will be too small for all of them.
Enjoy! Susanne

is there room for me, too?

It is getting tight but it is a very flexible cat family

Tango and her kittens, part 7

Tango's kittens keep growing up fast!! I call them the "Kitty gang" as they run and tumble through the house.  Not much news since the last blog post, just a few new photos.
Enjoy, Susanne

Tango and her kittens, part 6

Tango's kittens have grown up fast, 6 ½ weeks old now going on 7 weeks.
They have moved in the living room and "own" the house. At times I feel like in a circus with a bunch of acrobats performing - especially in the evening when Tango joins the game. The whole family goes nuts and runs and tumbles through the house.
Then all of a sudden it is quiet - nap time until the next round.
Tango is still nursing the kittens though not as often anymore. I wish I could add sound as it is quite sweet to hear 3 little "purr engines" and one big one running at the same time.
Enjoy the fur balls - Susanne
