Fall trip up North with puppy Shanti, part 2

The second part of our fall trip up north. If you want to read the 1st part you can find it here: https://soulcenteredphotography.blogspot.com/2021/10/fall-trip-up-north-with-puppy-shanti.html
We had a nice camp site at the Temperance River State park along the north shore of Lake Superior and stayed there for 2 nights.
We experienced the most beautiful sunrise on both mornings (photos here are from the 1st day). The colors were so intense and the clouds made everything look like a painting.
Shanti met a 4 year old boy at the beach who was throwing rocks into the lake. He was trying to run after the rocks. The boy said in his child like voice - "Sit" - but Shanti was too excited with all the fun stuff going on.

We spent a very relaxed day - first at the White Cedar trees at the Cascade River State park. We hiked a little distance on the trail along the shoreline and took a nap on the rocks, listening to the sounds of the lake. Shanti loved the water puddles.
Then we stopped in Grand Marais to do some shopping and continued on to the Arrowhead Trail going north to a place we had been to last year - an overlook where helicopters can land (Heliopad) close to the Canadian border.
The fall colors were not as brilliant this year but it is always beautiful in the boreal forests up north.

To be continued!

Thanks for viewing. And I hope you are enjoying the photos of our trip.
