Today is April 21. 2022 - one month since the spring equinox. But it seems winter doesn't want to quit here in the north country (Wisconsin).
There is a saying that once the Robins return, snow has to fall onto their tail 3 times before spring arrives. I think we have all stopped counting the numerous snow falls we had since the Robins arrived! But the daylight is increasing and many birds have returned and delight us with their songs. And today I heard the first spring peepers!! What a welcome sound! so there is hope!!
The following photos are in chronological order, the first one taken at the spring equinox walking on a frozen lake in the Blue Hills. The last photo is from April 18. - hopefully the last snow fall!!
