A different and more dreamy interpretation of the new spring growth and leaves.

We are having an unusually long spring here in northern Wisconsin. 

I very much enjoy this time of awakening after a long winter. The soft and tender shades of greens, yellows and reds are a delight to my senses.

Where Magic lives - go with the flow

The earth is waking up fast, spring has arrived.  Only 2 weeks ago a blanket of deep snow was hiding everything from view, now rushing water is tumbling over the rocks. Cool air embraces me as I walk down the slopes to re-visit this place of magic (see my post from October 2011). I wonder how the remaining year will unfold.... I let my worries, fears and anticipations wash away with the torrents of water. 

Go with the flow and enjoy the ride!!

SEEING BEAUTY - Photography as visual poetry, part 10

In many of his poems Hafiz invites us to dance, to celebrate, to love. 

For me it is a joy and happiness and peace from deep inside, often times for no apparent reason. 

Today is such a day - the sun coming through the window casting rainbows on my walls, birds are singing, a purring cat on my lap.... gratitude is filling my heart.

Child 

Has known God, 

Not the God of names, 

Not the God of don'ts, 

Not the God who ever does 

Anything weird,

THE WOMAN I LOVE 

Because the woman I love lives 

inside of you, 

I lean as close to your body with my words 

as I can - 

and I think of you all the time, dear pilgrim. 

Because the One I love goes with you 

wherever you go, 

Hafiz will always be near. 

If you sat before me, wayfarer, 

with your aura bright from your many 

charms, 

my lips could resist rushing to you and needing 

to befriend your blushed cheek, 

but my eyes can no longer hide 

the wondrous fact of who 

you really are. 

The beautiful One whom I adore 

has pitched His royal tent inside of you, 

so I will always lean my heart 

as close to your soul 

as I can.
